A fun session at the Gold Getaway weekend was a session with 4 current players: Arik Armstead, Trent Williams, Aaron Banks, and Trey Lance.
Each player spoke a little about how they made it to the NFL, and Arik Armstead talked about community service, and the pride in being nominated as Walter Payton Man of the Year from the Niners. Then the floor was opened to questions from the kids in attendance. And did they do a good job asking questions ! We learned that all four players started as basketball players, and switched to football later. Treyʻs favorite animal is the “Bison”, a nod to his alma mater. Other favorites were tigers, lions and bears. It was great to see everyone so relaxed and enjoying the interaction with some of their youngest fans !
